WELLESLEY, MA – American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) has identified the Newton Wellesley Center as a top performer. Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care’s entire 110 beds are devoted to the special care needed for people afflicted with dementia/Alzheimer. Each year, ACHCA recognizes the leaders of top-performing Skilled Nursing Facilities across the country through their Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award, sponsored by ABILITY Network. This award has been given to the Newton-Wellesley Center because of its leadership excellence. This award is a distinction of significance. According to ACHCA, only 11% of facilities nationwide qualify.
Jim Divver, the center’s administrator said, “I’m accepting this award behalf on all our staff here at the Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care. They all do a phenomenal job and they should be proud of this accomplishment! They provide exceptional care and should be recognized for all their hard work put in.”
In addition, to this outstanding award, the Newton Wellesley Center’s annual survey results have come in for 2017. We are proud to announce that they have received a 5 star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). This rating is reflected upon the center’s employees and their dedication to make the facility the best that it could be. They are currently ranked in the top 5% of facilities in Massachusetts.
CMS provides ratings information on the Nursing Home Compare website to help individuals, family members, caregivers, and the public find and compare the quality of nursing homes more easily. They have also been recognized over the past four years by U.S. News & World Report, as one of the “Best Nursing Homes” in the United States. The Best Nursing Homes 2017-2018 ratings highlight the top nursing homes out of nearly 16,000 facilities nationwide.
